MBIA promotes Career Day at the SEMATA Conference

Tuesday, October 31, 2017   (0 Comments)

If you haven’t heard yet, MBIA will be launching its first Career Day event at the 60th anniversary of the Detroit Boat Show. High school and college students from across the state are invited to attend, where they will learn more about careers within our $7.4 billion Recreational Boating Industry. MBIA staff Amanda Wendecker and Jorden Morin attended a SEMATA Conference (South Eastern Michigan Automotive Teacher’s Association), where they shared information about the upcoming Career Day at the Detroit Boat Show with Auto Shop teachers from across the state. This group was very receptive to the idea of a Career Day, and many said they have been starting to encourage their students to consider a career as a marine technician. It’s nice to see other industries helping each other out. Interested in participating in Career Day as an exhibitor? Contact Jorden at jmorin@mbia.org or 734-261-0123, ext. 6.
