Legislative Representation - MBIA's Government Relations Program

MBIA Pollution Insurance Program with Environmental Risk Managers

Environmental accountability, responsibility, and sustainability is being emphasized in today’s business environment more than ever. Legal Services Benefit

Members are now offered free or discounted services from MBIA's legal counsel, Jim Stewart of Kotz Sangster. Each member is entitled to one free phone call or office visit per fiscal year (one hour limit). Maritime leins, general business contracts and many other issues that come up in businesses could be reasons to utilize this benefit. For extended service (up to 10 hours), Kotz Sangster will offer a discounted rate of $250 per hour*. *Other rates and any engagement or retainer packages will need to be discussed and agreed to with the member based upon the nature and complexity of the legal matter.
