Nicki Polan is responsible for the overall management of the association and spends much of her time working on legislation, boat shows, member issues and industry relations. Nicki also manages the MBIA's communication, public relations and marketing efforts. She is responsible for the promotion and advertising of association boat shows, special events and other MBIA programs. Nicki has a BA from Michigan State University and a masters degree in Marketing and Management from Walsh College. Nicki joined the MBIA in 1988. 

 

Bethany Sly
Director of Exhibitor Sales

Bethany is in charge of the Exhibitor Sales for the MBIA's three shows - The Detroit Boat Show, Spring Boating Expo and Boating & Outdoor Festival. Bethany has more than 13 years in sales expereince and has a BA in Communications from the Univeristy of Michigan. Bethany joined the MBIA in 2012.


Donna Needham

Controller & Foundation Administrator

Donna manages the association's accounting department. Her responsibilities include, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, balancing the general ledger, producing financial statements and managing the boat show offices. Donna joined the MBIA in 1996.

 
Liz Szlaga
Administrative Assitant

Liz is responsible for the administrative tasks in the office, processing boat show exhibitor forms and other asociation duties. She graduated from Central Michigan University in 2010. Liz joined MBIA in 2013.





Amanda Wendecker
Marketing, Public Relations & Meetings Manager

Amanda is responsible for the public relations and social media campaigns for the Association, as well as the website updates. She also coordinates and manages Association meetings and annual conference. Amanda joined MBIA in 2008.
